Lunularia cruciata
This species is easily recognized by gemmae borne in lunate receptacles on dorsal surface of thallus.
Thalli dark-green, broad, dichotomously branched, with air chambers, compound pores and colorless ventral scales; pores with one layer of cells, arranged in 5-6 concentric rings, each ring with 4-6 narrowed cells; rhizoids mostly smooth and sparsely tuberculate; midrib poorly developed; margins crispate, concolorous; epidermal cells smaller than inner cells; oil bodies on inner cell layers, brownish, compound, spherical; gemmae receptacles lunulate, u-shaped, dorsal, bearing numerous, rounded gemmae.

On soil near concrete channels. This is alien invasive species introduced from pot plant cultivations and growing mixed with ornamental plants at Pu Ping Palace, c. 1,400 m elevation in primary, evergreen, seasonal, hardwood forest; granite bedrock.
